Indigo

Indigo became a fascination for me when I was expanding my natural dye palette. The illusive blue just as a color drew me to it. Then as I began to grow the indigo, and watch it transform through composting and then fermentation, it pulled me in hook, line and sinker. The idea that every culture on every continent has its blue magic, and although it is such a differentprocess than all of the other natural dye processes, it seemed to reveal its process so many centuries ago. To appreciate this incredible dye not only for its beautiful color, but for its history and process makes it a dye that wants to be a part of my realm.
